Hanging Out

This week and next week are busy weeks for doctor appointments for Fiona. She had physical therapy yesterday, an eye appointment today. This week's appointments went well - no unexpected or bad news. Next Tuesday, we marathon with our 4 month well check (read: shots), head and renal ultrasounds, a trip to the neurosurgeons, and a visit at the spina bifida clinic. Hopefully all those meetings go well too.

Because of all these appointments, we've been having some pretty quiet evenings at home. Last night, she was in a fun mood and we got a couple of new pictures. Enjoy!

Old News

According to Fiona, rolling over is now old news. Now she is determined to crawl and playing on the floor sessions often end in tears because her arms and legs are refusing to work as a coordinated team. It's very cute to watch and she is quite determined.

Here's a video I took of her trying to crawl last night.

Here she is peeking out of her car seat. I had to take a picture because it was so cute!

Our Funny 4-Month-Old

Fiona is 4 months old today! We can hardly believe how quickly she is growing up and all the new tricks she is learning! She's spending her birthday evening rocking with Daddy and fighting off a cold. She doesn't seem to be suffering too much, but the nasal congestion has led to some serious snorts.

She continues to love to play and is getting more interested in toys. She is also fascinated by people eating - we think she is going to be thrilled when rice cereal enters her world in a couple weeks.

Fiona's latest tricks are rolling over and laughing. She has mastered rolling both directions and managed to roll halfway across the living room on Monday night. It's also getting easier to make her laugh and we'll do just about anything to get a giggle.

Here are some pictures and videos to celebrate her month-versary!

Our Furry 4-Year-Old

It was Yogi's birthday on Saturday! He is FOUR! Can't believe he's been part of our family for almost four years already. We can't imagine our lives without him and are thankful for such a good boy!

Yogi has become Fiona's pal and is usually the first one to her crib when she cries. We're afraid of what will happen when they team up against us! Stayed tuned for the downfall of Mom and Dad once crawling starts.

Here are a couple pictures of Yogi's first days at our house:

And here is what you get today - a puppy who desperately needs it to warm up so we can go on some more family walks and burn off some energy! (And an awesome puppy who makes us laugh.) This video is called "Hyper Dog."

Rolling Through the Wardrobe to See the Wizard

BIG week at our house. Three momentous events that we would like to share:

1. She did it! Fiona rolled over all by herself tonight. We both missed the first successful roll, as we had just gotten home and had her laying on the floor while we brought all the stuff in. Mike checked on her and found her on her stomach. She was a champ and performed a couple more rolls so we could both see it! She was very proud of herself.

2. I read a book. A real honest-to-goodness book. That hasn't happened since Fiona was born. Technically I re-read a book and it was a short book, but The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe was a fun distraction while pumping all week.

3. Mike and I finally made it to the new Harry Potter movie. It took FIVE tries, but we did it. I kept waiting through the whole movie for something to go wrong. Big thanks to Anna for babysitting so we could go!
