Little Bookworm

Fiona and I often read at night between bath and the final bottle. It's good quiet (and snuggle) time and sometimes holds off the end of the night crankiness.

On Monday night, we settled in on the couch with our "touchy feely" puppies and mermaids books. She approved my book choices for the evening and was all about sitting on my lap. But she did NOT want me to read the books to her. She wanted to hold them and turn the pages by herself. She spent 15 minutes turning and feeling the pages of her books and was quite proud of herself.

Here are a couple pictures of our independent little bookworm:

can't imagine where she gets the bookworm gene from. so glad to know that she will be another literate child in the family tree. can't imagine what it would be like to not want to sit down with a good book.
good job! Aunt M in Tucson
