They did, however, require us to find the guest bed and maybe the floor of the guest bedroom. Quinn and Mike solved this requirement in my least favorite way ... shoving all the things in random places. But, to their credit, it got the job done and Gma and Gpa had a place to sleep. [Don't worry, Type A friends. I have since de-shoved all the things and unpack them properly. Type B friends ... pay no attention to this detail]
Then the next Monday, the girls were pumped because they were off to in-person camp (with daddy) at the dinner theater. It was Q's first time being in the bigger kid class and she was pumped [Dec had feelings during registration of being solo. He got over them once camp started].
The girls had the mornings at home with Nanny J and then Mike picked them up at noon for a whole afternoon of singing, dancing, and performing. They loved every minute of it. My favorite part was how they rehearsed together each night when they got home. And how they taught Dec all the songs too (because dude's superpower is memorizing lyrics!).
Then Friday afternoon, the dude and I headed up to meet Mike and watch their official performance. They did such a great job! Both girls had speaking parts in their skit and projected so well (and hit their lines perfectly!). Quinn was incredibly focused and precise. Fiona was joyful and radiated charm. Little brother was their biggest fan and didn't stop smiling and clapping the entire show.
In the words of the girls' opening song - there's no business like show business - so enjoy the show:
