Baby Vanneste is here! And we are proud to announce that we have another beautiful daughter!
Quinn Scarlett Vanneste was born on Wednesday, August 15, at 8:29 am via a repeat C-section. She measured in at 8 lbs 7 oz and 20.5 inches long. She is very healthy and doing well.
Quinn and I got bounced from the hospital on Friday and were home by noon. It was super fun to welcome Fiona home from day care and to all be here as a bigger family!
Mike and I are realizing that although Quinn is our second, we have absolutely NO idea how to handle the first couple weeks of a newborn. Fiona was in the hospital for that long, so our experience was vastly different. Now we are trying to navigate newborn AND toddler. It's a bit overwhelming at times, but we're getting there. And we know we will eventually figure it out (we hope anyway!).
Most importantly, we are so proud of both our girls. Fiona is a wonderful big sister (although she is a bit smothering of Quinn right now) and constantly says, "She's my baby sister." She asked Mike yesterday if we could keep "baby Qin." And Quinn smiles whenever she hears Fiona's voice!

Many congratulations! Quinn is BEAUTIFUL. Please let me know any tricks to adjusting to having two, as we are just a few months behind you!
