Cousin Anna gave Fiona a wand for being a flower girl. So we taught her how to magically turn people into princesses. Then Auntie Emmy came over and Mike taught Fiona how to turn Emmy into a frog ... (hee hee). Since then, Mike, Yogi, Quinn, and I have been turned into princesses and frogs - depending on where we rate at that moment.
So last Sunday, this happened:
F: Daddy, you a princess. (while waving her wand)
F: Mama, you a princess. (wand wave)
F: Yogi, you a frog (wand smack)
... apparently Q was off the list for the day. She didn't make the wand rounds.
S: Bugs, are you a princess?
F: (waving her wand and looking me straight in the eye) No. I a queen!
And then today, Ms. A sent us this note from day care:
Fiona has been dressing up so much lately. This morning's outfit was a sky blue tutu rimmed in sequins, a pink princess top ... and a cordless drill (from the play tool bench). It was perfectly her. Feminine, yet capable of handling anything.

That's my granddaughter! Tools are the best toys!
Maybe a hint of Great Grandpa Martin who was never without his vice grip in his pocket?.....This queen is well on her way to being exceptional in the kinddom.
My brother-in-law is just a delight...
Super cute. That's our girl!
Love, Emmy
