Diving In

The bookends have been thoroughly enjoying swimming lessons. The middle is a bit more on the fence about our Saturday morning activities of late. At the end of class during a couple of the lessons, the kids have had the option to use the diving board. Q says no way, thank you very much. And we respect that. But the other two have been down with it.

I wish we would have recorded the first week they did the board because Fiona did everything all by herself. She walked the whole way and jumped in. No help (other than the teacher in the pool, of course). But we didn't get a video. We were too busy cheering her on! She doesn't love that the board wiggles when she walks on it, so a teacher helped her get to the edge at this class. But you will notice she still jumps all by herself!

And Declan also loves the board. He was also a bit more hesitant on Round 2. Mike said that although it appears he is walking, there was not a lot of forward movement without daddy's help. Even with the nerves, they both loved it!
