Wee Bit O' Luck

This morning, we discovered our leprechaun, Darby, standing on his head ... he's known to flip upside down unexpectedly. But he had several gold candy wrappers strewn around him. Odd - but we continued with our morning routine. Until ... the kids discovered that Darby had also left gold candy (rolos) in their shoes. What a lovely leprechaun friend!!!

We decked ourselves out in green, the littles had green pancakes at Ms. A's, Fiona had a party at school, we had green potatoes for dinner and beer brownies for dessert, and we rounded out the day with a green bath! We could not have enjoyed it more!

The girls and I have been reading books about leprechauns for the past few days and have been enjoying their mischief and talking about cleverness. It's fun to see their brains work to try to outsmart the characters in the books. A couple more years and we can watch one of Auntie and my favorite movies - The Gnome Mobile. Other than my birthday, the kids' birthdays, our anniversary, and days at the cabin, this is my favorite day of the year! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

How fun! I'm always impressed by moms that make green food on St. Patty's Day!
