However, after a good night's sleep, we were ready for some fun on Saturday. It took us a bit to get organized (we needed to go get some apples from the neighbor), so once again, we were the people going IN to the zoo at 1:00pm instead of leaving with melting down children. It's a brave new world. [Full disclaimer: it was not our prettiest weekend and a small dude in our gang would have benefited greatly from a nap. However, we powered on. Until we didn't anymore.]

| When your Mom ruins your life |
It was the perfect day to do it - just the right temperatures for all the animals to be moving around. We saw the beavers working on their dam, the coyote playing around, the wolves watching the coyote with great interest, the bears - and Fiona made friends with a puma. Through the glass, of course.
We enjoyed the trail so much that we actually walked around it a second time. Dec wanted to walk out to see the tigers after we finished the trail - but he made some questionable choices and the consequence was that we were done at the zoo. He's pretty sure I ruined his life. Completely unexpected - he fell sound asleep on the way home!
Despite ruining lives and missing the tiger, we had such a fun day with Gma and Gpa. And it was a great way for the gang to miss their daddy a bit less.
