Two Kids, a Dog, and a Turtle

Daddy has summer fever. We got home from work and day care - and he was itching to go fill up the turtle with water so it would warm up in the hour we ate dinner and be ready for after dinner splashing. Not one to like being wet and cold, I eyed the 78 degrees on the thermometer and the cold hose water warily. But I didn't want to be a spoil-sport.

So after dinner, we swim-diapered up and headed out. Mike thought it was perfect weather. I thought it was cold. Fiona thought it was perfect. Quinn thought it was cold. ;-) But both girls - and Yogi - had fun splashing around in the turtle. Fiona braved the water and sat in it. Quinn was content to splash outside it and play with a bucket. She did manage to dump a full bucket of water on herself. It reinforced our need for a water table. Fingers crossed for a lucky garage sale find ...

Hopefully there will be many more [warmer] days in the coming weeks and lots more turtle splashing fun!
