10 Years

Today is a great day. Today is our 10 year wedding anniversary! I'm sitting in Denver on a work trip, but assuming Delta airlines has my back, I'll be home tonight to see my guy! Thanks to his mom and Bill, Mike's going to pick me up at the airport. We may even get dinner together before we head to our kickball game. Can't you just feel the romance!

I woke up this morning with a text from Mike. We had a great back and forth with some fun memories from our wedding day:

• 10 years since Smith ripped his pants
• 10 years since Z lost his cell phone battery 
• 10 years since Brad was my "fill in" while taking shots in someone's hotel room with you
• 10 years since Em had her first captain diet
• 10 years since Brad ruined the over/under with one last "so anyways"
• 10 years since Brad was our officiant
• 10 years since Eric stole my dad's pants

And then we both said "10 years since the best day of our lives." In 10 years, since two kids with stars in their eyes vowed to love each other, we've built a family and an incredible life. And the eye stars are still there. There is no one I'd rather manage the chaos, celebrate the joy, and wade through the sorrow with!
