D's Disasters

Sisters are hard too
Poor Declan had a rough few days. But he's pretty tough, so he seems to be powering through. A couple weekends ago, we were at Mike's hockey game. Dec was having a great time watching ... so good, in fact, that he forgot that he was sitting on a bench and pitched forward into the metal railing - forehead first. He had quite the bruise, right in the center of his forehead. But I think he was more upset that he lost his PBJ sandwich through the railing at the same time!

The next day, we were playing outside and he got a mosquito bite right at the top of his forehead bruise. It was quite the bite and he must have been scratching at it - because it turned into big scab. Between forehead bruise and giant scab, he looked pretty tough ... or pretty clumsy.

Then this last weekend, on top of a cold that he is fighting [again], Quinn was trying to help me after his bath and put the lotion next to him. Either he tipped it or it was set down on a uneven surface ... whatever the reason, the bottle tipped over and the lotion pump got him directly in the eye. So for a few days, he had 1) forehead bruise, 2) bug bite scab), 3) raw, snotty nose, and 4) bloodshot bottle eye.

Life is hard when you are one!
